Please be informed that today's(21st November, 2011) scheduled mediation meeting among various concerned parties (EOW - Mumbai Police, Enforcement Directorate, RBI, CBDT, SAOL, Haren Ventures etc) under the supervision of honorable Retd. Chief Justice of India Mr. R. C. Lahoti got postponed to 28th November. As per our knowledge the reason given for the postponement is honorable Mr. Lahoti being out for some other case.
Friends ! we are waiting for 6 months and are mentally prepared to fight this lengthy legal battle till its end. This another postponement of 1 week is definitely annoying for all the Speak Asia family members but we have to understand that this is the way Indian legal system works where not surprisingly "a son gets the decree of the case filed by his late father". We are still fortunate that in our case the hearing is going on in honorable supreme court which is still reasonably fast.
Let us keep faith in our company and its management which has fought the case with honesty and aggression till date. In our view the SAOL leadership is very strong and resourceful which is able to handle such a complex situation. Had this not been the case, the 20 Lakh people of India are not fools who are still together and supporting the company in letter and spirit. Our victory is sure but the timing is not.
